OpenStreetMap

OpenStreetMap is a free alternative to Google Maps for location search. It needs no API key and no billing account.

  1. Go to your Sngine Admin Panel → Settings → Posts Settings, turn on Geolocation and set Geolocation Provider to OpenStreetMap

  2. Leave OpenStreetMap Search URL on the default https://photon.komoot.io, or enter the URL of your own Photon server

    The public Photon server at photon.komoot.io is free but shared and rate limited. For a busy site, host your own Photon server and paste its URL here.
