LibreTranslate

LibreTranslate is a free, open-source translation engine you can host yourself. Integrate it with Sngine in a few easy steps to let your users translate posts and chat messages.

  1. Get a LibreTranslate server. You can host your own by following https://github.com/LibreTranslate/LibreTranslate, or buy an API key for the hosted service at https://portal.libretranslate.com/

  2. Go to your Sngine Admin Panel → Settings → Posts Settings, turn on Post Translation and set Translation Provider to LibreTranslate

  3. Enter your server address in LibreTranslate URL, like https://translate.example.com (or https://libretranslate.com for the hosted service). If your server requires a key, paste it into LibreTranslate API Key, otherwise leave it empty
